Welcome sign inspired by the Doors of Durin, also known as the West-gate of Moria, entrance to the dwarf city Khazad-dûm. Welcome your family and friends home with the well-known riddle, "Speak friend and enter."

The design is burned by hand onto poplar wood and covered with a protective clear coat. The sign is suspended by jute string tied in a square knot and held with hot glue, so it is very secure. The design on the trees was carefully applied to mimic tree bark, knots and all. This plaque is intended for either outdoor or indoor use.
