This wooden crescent moon is hand carved and woodburned with an intricate vine design on both sides. The outer and inner borders of the moon have also been burned to create a cratered texture. Attached inside and beneath the moon are two amazonite stones.
 
Amazonite, or amazonstone, is a rare green variety of microcline, or potassium feldspar, named after the Amazon river and commonly mined in Brazil. The mineral sports a gorgeous blue-green color with white streaks.
 
The moon's diameter is 4 inches. Hanging ring is 0.5 inch in diameter.
