“Appealing to Heaven for the justice of our cause, we determine to die or be free.” - Provincial Congress of Massachusetts, 1775.
"An Appeal to Heaven" was the motto flown on the flag of Washington's Cruisers, above a pale green pine tree. As the first national flag for the United States, the Pine Tree Flag captures the true spirit of Americans. That after an endless train of abuses, and having no appeal left to law or man, we may only appeal to God. For the Kingdom of Heaven reigns over all, our government included.
This plaque honors the flag of Washington's Cruisers, hand burned and stained on sustainably harvested Jerusalem olive wood. Below the pine tree is the Gadsden rattlesnake, with the latin phrase "Nemo Me Impune Lacessit" (No one provokes me with impunity).
Plaque dimensions are 4" x 12" x 1/2". A certificate of authenticity for the olive wood is included. Please note each plaque is made entirely by hand, each is completely unique. Expect small differences from the pictures.
